The 2020 European Tour season kicks off with the Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek Country Club, South Africa. 14 of the 15 graduates from last season’s Road to Mallorca Rankings will be teeing it up, including Francesco Laporta, who won both the Road to Mallorca crown and Challenge Tour Grand Final. Adrian Meronk, the first Polish player to earn full European Tour status, will also be making his debut. The tournament has a rich history of homegrown winners, with 11 South African title holders since the tournament’s inception in 1995. Four-time winner Charl Schwartzel returns to action following a seven-month absence and is joined by compatriots Ernie Els, Brandon Stone, Branden Grace and Christiaan Bezuidenhout. Will the South African stronghold continue or will we see a new winner and early leader in the 2020 Race to Dubai?
